21 Aug 2011 Ruth Kiel and her husband, Colonel Frank Kiel, have furnished photos for
Verde Valley Cemetery (located on Las Espuelas Ranch) after a recent visit
to the site. Thanks to them for these photos. Verde Valley Cemetery

22 Jul 2011   Photos for the Heise Cemetery have been provided by Larry Welty.   Larry is
                        Chairperson for the Kerr County Historical Commission's Endangered Properties
                        committee.    These photos show the age and deterioration of the cemetery's
                        site.   Thanks to Larry for his work on Endangered Properties in Kerr County
                        and for providing these photos for the Kerr County TXGenWeb page.

Recent burial information is also added to the Kerr County Genealogy webpage
and the search engine has been updated.

14 May 2011 During the Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library's renovation, the KGS meetings
will be held in various places instead of the library's meeting room. The Society's
research facilities will still be available online by e-mailing them at kerrgensoc@live.com

                          and the Pico Search Engine is also updated.

22 Jul 2010     Another Tivy "Antler" yearbook transcription has been provided the Kerr
                          County TXGenWeb page by Thelma Sutton. This time it is for the 1939 "Antler".
                           Names of the Senior students with their activities along with the faculty is first.
                           Then the Junior, Sophomore and Freshmen students are next (names, only).
                           Also included are alphabetical listings for the 6th and 7th grades.   The Tivy
                           High School students are not listed alphabetically but you can use your "Find"
                           feature in your browser to search for a name.   Tivy Antler for 1939   Thanks Thelma.

10 Jun 2010   Thelma Sutton has sent her transcription of the 1937 Tivy "Antler" yearbook.
                          Names of all seniors, their activities and parents are included as well as a listing
                          of the students in the Junior, Sophomore and Freshmen classes. Kerr Photos & More

                           Pico Search Engine is updated.    Turtle Creek Cemetery has several additions as do
                           Garden of Memories, Glen Rest and Sunset.   The Cemetery Master Index will help

24 Jan 2010     Charles Sherman has contributed several school days photos from early days
                            in Kerr County...Lowrance School, Kelly Creek School and Turtle Creek School.
                            The "Early School Days" page is expanded to include the latest pages with these
                            school photos.   He also sent an article about the Turtle Creek Sewing Club
                            which formed in 1926.    Many pioneer Kerr County families' names can be found

                            School Days pages and the Turtle Creek Sewing Club page.
