Directions:
In
Kerrville, go east on Sidney Baker Street (SH 16) and turn left onto Holdsworth
Drive (near the high school stadium).
The cemetery is at the corner of Holdsworth Dr. and Sidney Baker St.
Entrances to the cemetery are on Sidney Baker Street and also on Remschel
Street at Holdsworth Dr.
In
February 2002, Felipe Lozano, Jr., and his wife, Joy Lozano, members of
Kerrville Genealogical Society, completed a new survey of Mountain View Cemetery
which they have donated to the Kerrville Genealogical Society and which is
posted on the Kerr County TXGenWeb page for use by Kerr County researchers.
Some
information was included from “Cemeteries of Kerr County, Texas, 1859-1976”
published by Kerrville Genealogical Society in 1980, and some
additional
data
was furnished by
Maxine Powell from her work " Grimes Funeral Chapels 1930-1959", pub.
2003.
An asterisk (*) denotes those whose
information came from the Kerrville City
burial records of the early '40's. Only the date of death
was written on those records
